Watkinsville City Hall Reopening Plan

City Hall will reopen to the public on Tuesday, May 26th. The city continues to encourage citizens and customers to utilize online services available through the city’s website page at From May 26th until June 12th:

  • Those entering City Hall are encouraged to wear face masks/protection as staff will be doing during interaction.
  • Six (6) foot social/physical distancing rules shall be enforced.
  • At no time, shall more than 10 people be gathered inside City Hall at one time.

Park information.

  • The shelters at Harris Shoals Park will reopen on Friday, May 29th. Staff will begin taking reservations on Tuesday, May 26.
  • The metal playground structure will reopen, but the wooden playground will remain closed due to structural safety concerns.
  • All parks (i.e.: Harris Shoals, Rocket Field, and Watkinsville Woods) may continue to be used for walking per the present guidelines through June 12th.

Municipal Court. Per the Chief Justice of the Georgia Supreme Court, Municipal Court has been postponed until July 13th at 3 PM.

City Council Meetings. The city anticipates holding the June 17 Mayor & Council meeting at City Hall but will determine for certain and notify the public of such as the meeting date approaches.
