Proposals for Engineering, Landscape Architecture, Surveying and Management Services for the City of Watkinsville, Georgia SPLOST Program
The City of Watkinsville, Georgia is requesting qualification proposals from firms interested in providing complete engineering, landscape architecture, surveying and management services for the City of Watkinsville, Georgia SPLOST Program.The City’s program includes parks, transportation, sewer, public safety, and greenspace projects that are to be completed over a six year period.The estimated SPLOST funds to be received are approximately $3,200,000.
All responding firms must be pre-qualified by the Georgia Department of Transportation in roadway design and pedestrian facilities and must have a complete production office within 50 miles of the City of Watkinsville.
Proposals should contain the following as a minimum:
·Office location and contact information
·Organizational chart showing key personnel to be assigned to the program and office location of key personnel
·Resumes of experience of key personnel
·A listing of projects demonstrating experience in providing services similar to those requested with references and contact information
·A listing of any sub-contractors to be used
The City of Watkinsville intends to evaluate all qualification proposals, select the most
qualified firm and proceed with contract negotiations.
The following are significant factors to be used in the evaluation of the proposals:
·Qualifications of key personnel
·Experience of the firm in providing similar services to those requested
·Ability of the firm to provide all services in-house
·Proximity of the firm location and key personnel to the City of Watkinsville
·Experience in providing similar services to the City of Watkinsville and other small cities

Purpose:
To provide an opportunity for public input on the proposed project to replace aging collection and pumping facilities delivering wastewater to Oconee County's Calls Creek Water Pollution Control Plant (WPCP). The proposed project includes the replacement and upsizing of approximately 9,300 linear feet of sanitary sewer within and adjacent to the City of Watkinsville between Government Station Road and the Calls Creek WPCP. The project also includes replacement of the existing WPCP influent pump station with a new facility which will improve the plant's ability to process wastewater flows transmitted to the WPCP via the Lampkin Branch Sanitary Sewer.
The meeting will focus on discussion of the project Environmental Planning Document which has been prepared in accordance with requirements of the Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD). The discussion will include an overview of the planned facilities, the estimated construction cost of the project and the improvements in environmental protection that will be achieved through the successful implementation of the project. The Environmental Planning Document is available for review on the Oconee County website at
and at the Oconee County Utility Department, 1291 Greensboro Highway, Watkinsville, GA on business days from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. The meeting is open to the public and all interested parties are encouraged to attend. Comments related to the project will be accepted in advance of the meeting by writing to Chris Thomas, Utility Department Director, at P.O. Box 88, Watkinsville, GA 30677.
