Yard Waste will be collected weekly according to location. The City of Wakinsville Street Department provides this service. The guidelines are as follows:
- Pickup is limited to a reasonable amount.
- Place limbs and leaves in separate piles by the curb. The leaf vacuum cannot pickup anything but leaves, so please do not include rocks or sticks in your leaf piles.
- Limbs should be 4 inches or less in diameter and no longer than 8 feet. Trim branches so limbs can be fed directly into the chipper.
- Logs and branches over 4 inches in diameter or longer than 8 feet cannot be handled by the City.
- The City will not be responsible for removal of trunks or limbs cut by private contractors. Leaf and Limb service is provided to homeowners as a courtesy by the City.
- The City will not be responsible for removal of dirt, building materials, or stump grindings.
All yard waste must be at the curb or roadside within 5 feet by 7:00am on the collection day. Very Important - yard waste will not be collected if placed in plastic bags. Please do not block storm drains and gutters. The collection schedule for limb and leave pickup is provided below. Call City Hall at (706)769 - 5161 for adjusted schedule.
